Scope of Services Valley Water is seeking bids from responsive, responsible, and qualified firms ("Bidders" or "Bidder") to provide the following: A. In accordance with the Specifications, the Supplier will fabricate, manufacture, assemble, test, store and deliver the following items: 11. One (1) raw water 84-inch valve assembly consisting of an 84-inch triple eccentric metal seated butterfly valve and electric actuator completely assembled 2. One (1) raw water 24-inch valve assembly consisting of a 24-inch triple eccentric metal seated butterfly valve and electric actuator completely assembled 3. Two (2) treated water 66-inch valve assembly consisting of a 66-inch triple eccentric metal seated butterfly valve and electric actuator completely assembled 4. Two (2) treated water 48-inch valve assemblies consisting of 48-inch triple eccentric metal seated butterfly valve and electric actuator completely assembled 5. Eight (8) treated water 24-inch valve assemblies consisting of 24-inch triple eccentric metal seated butterfly valve and electric actuator completely assembled Within ten calendar days, not including Sundays and legal holidays, of Valley Water's Notice of Award, the successful Bidder must submit a performance bond or payment bond executed by the Contractor and the surety, equal to 100 percent of the bid amount. A California admitted sureties must issue all bonds . Q&A Deadline 01/24/2023 4:00 PM (PST) The Supplier's attention is directed to Section 3 Schedule and Liquidated Damages of these Specifications, for the required deadlines and associated liquidated damages to be assessed if these deadlines are not met by the Supplier. In the event that the valves and actuators to be supplied pursuant to a Purchase Order issued by Valley Water are not fabricated and delivered in accordance with the requirements of these Specifications, and because it is impractical and extremely difficult to ascertain and determine the actual and consequential damages or claims which Valley Water may sustain in the event of and by reason of such delay, it is therefore agreed that the Supplier, at Valley Water's option, shall pay to Valley Water liquidated damages; and the Supplier further agrees that Valley Water may deduct the amount thereof from any monies due, or that may become due, to the Supplier pursuant to the Purchase Order issued by Valley Water. If the Supplier fails to deliver the valves and actuators and otherwise fully comply with these Specifications and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Purchase Order within the time-frame indicated in Section 3.01 - Schedule, liquidated damages in the amount of $3,000 may be assessed for each calendar day after the delivery date referenced in Article 3.01 and until all materials to be supplied have arrived at Valley Water's construction site and been accepted by the Engineer.
