For purposes of this Contract, Work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, services, supervision, and incidentals necessary to abandon/decommission 17 existing monitoring wells and three remediation trenches installed inside the VTA Chaboya Bus Yard. The scope also includes concrete and asphalt pavement restoration, fence restoration, and waste removal/disposal. Question Submission Deadline:September 21, 2022, 2:00pm The Engineer's Estimate for this Work ranges from $515,000.00 to $665,000.00. The current anticipated date of Notice of Award (NOA) is 10/26/22. This Project Consists Of The Decommissioning Of 17 Groundwater Monitoring And Remediation Wells, Including Two Wells Constructed Of Non-standard Material. Well Decommissioning Activities Include Utility Location, Temporary Removal Of Fencing To Facilitate Accessto Wells, Cleaning Of Wells Containing Sediment Prior To Decommissioning, Demolition Of Wellhead Vaults And Monuments, And Restoration Of Existing Pavement And Fencing. Well Decommissioning Activities Must Be Performed By A C-57 Licensed Well Drilling Contractor. The Project Also Includes The Decommissioning Of Three Remediation Trenches. The Remediation Trenches Will Be Decommissioned By Emplacing Grout Into The Gravel Interval Of Each Trench. Confirmation Borings Will Be Advanced After Emplacement Of Grout Into Each Trench To Observe The Gravel Intervals Of The Remediation Trenches And Confirm Grout Permeation. After Well And Trench Decommissioning Has Been Completed, The Site Will Be Restored To Its Pre-construction Condition Through Restoration Of Pavement And Site Cleanup.
