The Board of Education of the Douglas County School District 0001 (Omaha Public Schools) ("District") invites bids on: Roof Repairs at Various Facilities- Central High School, Wilson Focus School, McMillan Middle School, and Minne Lusa Elementary This work involves furnishing all labor, materials, supplies and equipment to repair, replace, and install the specified roof sections at the four schools noted above with eligible materials, in accordance with the requirements of the Bid Documents. Eligible materials are listed in Section 3.3. Bids are to be completed on the bid form contained in the Bid Documents. One completed copy of the bid, including all required information, attachments, and exhibits, including a bid bond as required in Section 1.2, signed by the bidder are to be submitted to the District in accordance with the Bid Documents. A certified check or cashier's check payable to the Board of Education or satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The certified or cashier's check or original Bid Bond (not a photocopy) will be retained as liquidated damages in case the awarded the Contractor fails to furnish the required performance bond, insurance certificate, or sign the Contract within ten (10) days after notification of award. If an original cashier's check, certified check or signed Bid Bond, as required by this Section, is not received with the bid, the bid will not be considered. The District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids any part thereof and to waive any and all technicalities and irregularities.
