Questions regarding the Bid Documents and the bid procedures and requirements must be submitted by email on or before by WEDNESDAY, JUNE 14, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. CST. Responses to questions submitted will be provided to all identified potential respondents, without indicating who submitted the question. These communications requirements have been established by the District to ensure a fair and equitable process for all potential bidders. The District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or any part thereof and to waive any and all technicalities and irregularities and award the contract based on its determination of the best interests of the District. The work called for in these Bid Documents includes HVAC control upgrades in nine (9) District schools. The specifications for the work called for by these Bid Documents is more fully set forth in the Plans and Specifications that are a part of the Bid Documents, but generally includes removing and upgrading existing HVAC controls from certain equipment, including pneumatic, electro-mechanical, and legacy direct digital control systems and removal and replacement of air terminal boxes at two schools identified in the Bid Documents. Functional testing to ensure equipment is operational prior to installing controls will also be included in the project scope. A defined quantity of replacement equipment is included to replace equipment that is found not functional, including dampers, operators, and line voltage thermostats. Ancillary work associated with the controls replacement and HVAC work will also be included, such as ceiling removal and replacement, core drilling, piping and insulation work.
