Renovation of a municipal facility in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The work will include select removal of existing HVAC system and installation of new HVAC system, complete, reusing select components within existing building. Both electrical and mechanical work is involved throughout the Township municipal building. Clarification deadline 4/18/2022 5:00 pm A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bidder's Maximum Bid Price as applicable and in the form of a certified or bank check, bank money order or a Bid Bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of the General Conditions. Contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price, as security for the faithful performance and payment of Contractor's obligations under the Contract. The provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and Regulations for said Act are incorporated in their entirety by reference in these Contract Documents. Contract Award Date: 5/5/2022 Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in, and/or to reject, any or all bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work and to negotiate contract terms with the Successful Bidder, and the right to reject, without limitation, all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Owner reserves the right to adjust quantities of work by elimination of work on all or portions of each Contract. Also, Owner reserves the right to reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder, whether because the Bid is not responsive or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by Owner it is the intent of these specifications to describe the work necessary to complete the upgrade of the existing HVAC system. The general scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: o Upon project award, Contractor is to provide a schedule of values comprising the various aspects of this project. o Provide project schedule and update weekly with any updates. o Order all materials and have them ready for install PRIOR taking the existing HVAC 'off-line' and out of service (unless the weather conditions warrant otherwise and is expressly approved by the Township Public Works Department) o Selectively remove existing equipment, panels and ductwork as demonstrated on the Plans. o Relocate existing and equipment and install new equipment and electrical panels, connections as per the Plans. o Arrange and schedule all applicable mechanical and electrical code inspections. All permits and inspections are required but the Township will not charge permit or inspection fees to the Contractor. o System testing, start-up and operational demonstration with Owner. o All equipment manuals, equipment manufacturer warranty information and paperwork and equipment installer warranty information and paperwork shall be submitted to the Township. o Properly recycle/dispose of existing materials removed offsite. o Project cleanup and closeout
