This project includes, but is not limited to, the following major work items: hot-mix asphalt surface removal (+-4), preparation of base, aggregate base repair, pavement patching, hot-mix asphalt binder and surface course placement, driveway pavement removal and replacement, drainage and utility structure adjustments, thermoplastic pavement markings, landscaped shoulder restoration, and other associated improvements as specified in the contract documents. State of Illinois, Department of Transportation, Contractor Pre-Qualification and Subcontractor Pre-Qualification/ Registration is required. This work is subject to the wage provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. 820 ILCS 130/0/01 et seq. and the Illinois Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Projects Act. 820 ILCS 265/1 et seq relative to prevailing wages of laborers, mechanics, and other workers employed in any Public Works as amended by Public Acts 86799 and 86693. The Village of Round Lake Beach reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, to award all or part of a contract, and to make such awards as are in the best interests of the Village. Factors other than price which will be considered in awarding or rejecting bids shall include the results of reference contacts, and the quality of the bidder's performance on prior Village projects, if any, in the judgment of the Village Board and Village staff. All proposals submitted shall be valid for a period of 60 days. . It is anticipated the Village will approve the contract on April 25, 2022
