Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

This Contract comprises the improvements in the downtown area of Jacksonville Beach, as shown on the Drawings and specified herein. The Work consists of furnishing all labor, equipment and materials for the construction, demolition and abandonment efforts. The general summary of work is as listed below. o Provide and install architectural precast seatwalls with aluminum framed wood bench tops per the Drawings. o Provide and install architectural precast concrete plinths per the Drawings. o Saw cut and remove portion of existing concrete curb where proposed precast concrete plinths are proposed. o Provide and install pre-manufactured bike racks, bike repair ("Fix-It") stations, concrete bollards, trash receptacles, and concrete site benches per the Drawing specifications. o Provide and install wood trash receptacles per the Drawings. o Provide and install crushed coquina aggregate, landscape and boulders per the Drawings. o Provide and install concrete bike parking pads where bike racks are added to existing landscape areas. o Demolish and remove portions of existing concrete sidewalk and patch with pavers to match existing pavers at the northeast and northwest corner of 1st Street N and 3rd Avenue N. o Site restoration including new concrete sidewalk, sod, and restoration of any structures, equipment, systems, or areas of the site disturbed by construction to its preconstruction condition. Each bid must contain either evidence of the Bidders qualifications to do business in the area where the project is located or covenant to obtain such qualifications prior to award of Contract. To demonstrate his qualifications to perform the Work, each Bidder shall submit with his Bid written evidence as to his financial status, previous successful contractual and technical experience in similar work including references, description, and volume of present commitments, evidence of possession of, or covenant to obtain prior to award of Contract, valid state, county, and local licenses covering all operations and all areas of political jurisdiction involved in the Work of this project and such other data as may be requested by the CITY. No bidder/company will be issued a contract for the work, who in the past seven (7) years has filed for bankruptcy personally or has been an owner/officer or principal of a firm, which has filed bankruptcy in the past seven (7) years. Contractor must be able to exhibit to the City of Jacksonville Beach that he can perform a minimum of 30% of the total contract work with their own labor work force. The purchase of materials and/or equipment will not be considered as part of this percentage. The project is located at the City of Jacksonville Beach and consists of the following general improvements: Installation of bike racks and bike repair stations, concrete bike parking pads, custom and pre-manufactured furnishings, bollards, boulders, and landscape with coquina mulch.
