The Lapeer County ISD Board of Education is soliciting sealed competitive bids for concrete replacement at its Education and Technology Center Interested parties must schedule a pre-bid meeting with Jeff Hurley, Maintenance Supervisor, who can be reached at (810) 667-6156 or jhurley@lapeerisd.org. Bid specifications will be provided at the meeting. The successful Bidder(s) must be prepared to provide Certificates of Acord confirming they have the following insurance coverages upon request:
a. Worker's Compensation (minimum $100,000)
b. Liability (minimum $300,000)
c. Coverage pertaining to vehicles, property damage and public liabilities, and personal injury.
The successful Bidder(s) must be prepared to provide 3 references upon request. Bids must be guaranteed for 90 days from the date of the bid opening and include shipping/handling costs. The Lapeer County ISD Board of Education reserves the right, at its discretion, to accept or reject any or all bids, or portions thereof; to waive omissions, irregularities, or clerical errors not affecting compliance with the bid specifications; and to add or delete items and adjust quantities, if applicable. The Lapeer County ISD is a tax-exempt organization and is not subject to State or Federal taxes. The successful Bidder(s) will be required to certify that it is not an Iran linked business. Remove existing concrete from main entrance to asphalt parking lot.
2.2 Remove existing concrete wall and any footings.

2.3 Dispose of all removed concrete*.
2.4 Remove benches and shrubs then dispose of*.
2.5 Dig out topsoil areas then place topsoil at rear of building and level off areas.
2.6 Haul in and place sand in new concrete areas.
2.7 Pour concrete in new concrete areas in accordance with the following specifications:
2.7.1 Concrete must be 3500 Psi 5" with wire mesh and 3/8 rerod.
2.7.2 Concrete surrounding flagpole should be stamped and of a different color.
2.7.3 Use saw cuts to create control joints.
2.8 Install 6" concrete curbs above concrete for shrub/mulch retaining purposes and along parking lot.
