The Project provides for roadway improvements on Twilight Boulevard, Rainbow Circle, Easy Street, Lucky Drive, Possum Hollow, Durdin Drive, S 20th Street, E Avenue M, Pinecrest Drive and Hendricks Drive, totally approximately 6,000 linear feet. Bids are for several items and quantity of work as follows: 1. Milling of existing asphalt pavement (haul to site within City) 2. Removing existing base and asphalt pavement (haul to site within City) 3. Base improvements including pulverizing, regrading, shaping, and compacting 4. Construction of 4" flexible base, placing and compacting 5. Prime coat application 6. Construction of 2 HMAC surface for roadways 7. Construction of HMAC surface for driveways 8. Backfilling of pavement edges 9. Placement of pavement markings 10. Final site cleanup Alternate bid items are also included in this bid package for roadway improvements on Watts Road and N 8th Street which feature the same improvements as the above list of items. Bidding Documents are on file at website. There is no cost to view the plans, and printing can be done through the website. Hard copies of Bidding Documents will not be sold. Complete sets of Bidding Documents shall be used in preparing Bids; neither Owner nor Engineer assumes any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents. Owner and Engineer, in making copies of Bidding Documents available on the above terms, do so only for the purpose of obtaining Bids for the Work and do not confer a license or grant for any other purpose. Bids must be submitted on the form shown in the Contract Documents. A Contractor Qualification Statement must also accompany each bid. City of Silsbee reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by City of Silsbee for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
