The Project provides for roadway improvements on Durdin Drive, S. 20th Street, Carriage Lane and Pinecrest Drive, totally approximately 4,100 linear feet. Bids are for several items and quantity of work as follows: Milling of existing asphalt pavement (haul to site within City) Removing existing base and asphalt pavement (haul to site within City) Base improvements including pulverizing, regrading, shaping and compacting Construction of 4" flexible base, placing and compacting Prime coat application Construction of 2" HMAC surface for roadways Construction of HMAC surface for driveways Backfilling of pavement edges Removing and replacing an existing junction box and grate inlet Placement of pavement markings Final site cleanup Alternate bid packages are also included in this project for roadway improvements on E Avenue M and E Avenue F. Bid Security, only in the form of: 1) a certified or cashier's check drawn on a Texas bank and made payable to the City of Silsbee; or 2) a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Texas, in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the total bid, must accompany each bid at the time it is submitted. Bids must be submitted on the form shown in the Contract Documents. A Contractor Qualification Statement must also accompany each bid. City of Silsbee reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by City of Silsbee for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. Upon award, the successful bidder will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds.
