Renovation of a mixed-use development in Gloucester Township, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Bids Must Be Submitted on the Bid Form Prepared by Remington & Vernick Engineers, in the Manner Designated Therein and Required by the Specifications, and Must Be Enclosed in Sealed Envelopes Plainly Marked on the Outside Envelope With the Appropriate Bid Title and Number, Date and Time of the Opening, as Well as the Name and Address of the Bidder. Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified check, bank cashier's check, treasurer's check or bid bond, with corporate surety satisfactory to the Owner, in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid (but in no case in excess of $20,000. pursuant to Statute), naming as payee or obligee, as applicable, Washington Township Board of Education, to be retained and applied by the undersigned in case bidder would default in executing the Agreement or furnishing the required bonds and insurance certificates as required. Any such bid bond shall be without endorsement or conditions. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The bidder must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Schools Development Authority and the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Building and Construction, and have a valid up-to-date notice of classification prior to the date that bids are received. Any bid submitted under the terms of the New Jersey statutes not including a copy of a valid and active pre-qualification / classification certificate will be rejected as being non-responsive to the bid requirements. Each Bidder will submit with their bid a Certificate of Consent of Surety as per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25 from a Surety Company stating that it will provide the bidder, if successful, with a Performance/Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract. The award of the contract(s) shall be made subject to the necessary moneys to do the work being provided by the Washington Township Board of Education in a lawful manner. The contract(s) to be executed by the successful bidder will provide that it shall not become effective until the necessary moneys to do the work have been provided by the Washington Township Board of Education in a lawful manner. The award shall further be subjected to the securing of necessary State, Federal or Local permits governing the work. Bidders are required to comply with all requirements of the Public Schools Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1, et seq., as well as the provisions of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27, and with all other Federal Laws and New Jersey Statutes not specified herein. All Bidders are placed on notice that they are required to comply with all requirements of N.J.A.C. 17:27, Affirmative Action, current regulations, P.L.1963, c.150, New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, and American With Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 12101, et seq.). The contractor is also further notified that he must comply with Section 1 of P.L. 1977, Chapter 33 (c.52:25-24.2) and submit a Disclosure Statement listing stockholders with his bid. All Bidders must comply with all requirements of Federal, State and Local and current applicable regulations. Bidders are required to comply with "The Public Works Contractor Registration Act". Bidders must apply for registration before bidding on this project. Bidders are required to submit a copy of their valid certificate of registration with their bid and shall also include copies with their bid of the certificates for each specialty subcontractor listed in its bid form. A copy of the Certificate of Registration OR a completed and submitted registration application including a copy of the payment must be returned with the bid. A registration application is included in the bid package. A copy of a valid State of New Jersey Business Registration Certificate / License for the Contractor and any subcontractors required to be listed in the contractor's bid must be submitted with the Bid. Failure to provide a copy of a valid Certificate with your bid will result in rejection of the bid as nonresponsive to our bid requirements. This registration is separate from the Public Works Contractor Registration Act. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept any bid in whole, in part or parts, and to reject any or all bids, in accordance with the provisions of Statute.
