The City of Fairhope is requesting responses to remodel approximately 3,500 square-feet of enclosed, heated and cooled existing office space contained within the Western Wing of the City's Pecan Building located at 451 Pecan Avenue, Fairhope, Alabama. This project involves no building envelope or structural work. The project does entail demolition, mechanical (minimal), electrical coordination, plumbing, interior non-load bearing wall framing, flooring, wall sheathing, ceiling, tile, cabinetry, fit, finishes and similar building construction/remodel work tasks. All work is within an enclosed, weather-tight, heated and cooled structure, weather or available daylight will have no impact on contractor's ability to work Questions or comments pertaining to this bid must be presented in writing, sent as e-mail to the attention of the Purchasing Manager, Cory Pierce, 555 South Section St., Fairhope, AL 36532, e-mail: Purchasing@FairhopeAL.gov, by Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. or will be forever waived. Bid Security shall be in the form of a Bid Bond or a cashier's check payable to The City of Fairhope. No Bid Security is required on bids less than $10,000.00. The BIDDER to whom award is made shall provide a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the CONTRACT Amount and a Labor and Material Bond equal to 50% of the CONTRACT amount. Bids maybe withdrawn in written or telegraphic request received from BIDDER prior to the time fixed for opening. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the City Council of the City of Fairhope.
