Site work and paving for a civil project in Ocean, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The work shall consist of the following approximate quantities: 430 square yards of 8-inch thick reinforced concrete apron slab replacement, 230 linear feet concrete curb, installation of 10 bollards, 230 linear feet of striping, and removal and disposal of existing concrete driveway apron, together with miscellaneous other related work items as shown on the Contract Plans. The Contractor shall provide for the safety of the public; property; and workmen; provide for the maintenance of traffic and utilities; protect public or private property; handle all surface and ground water; guard the site; furnish; unload, haul, locate and relocate conflicting utilities including cables, conduits, ducts, pipe appurtenances and accessories; replace or repair all damaged drains, sewers, utilities, or other structures; remove surplus excavated material and clean the site of all debris; and restore the pavements and other improved surfaces. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for ten percent of the amount of the bid, drawn upon an incorporated bank or trust company, payable to the Township of Ocean Fire District No. 2, as guarantee that in case the contract is awarded the bidder, he will, within ten days thereafter execute such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond. Board of Fire Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive any informality of any bid.
