Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in North Plainfield, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; for site work for a clubhouse / community center; library; library; museum; museum; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

The contract Scope of Work will include three (3) buildings in the Borough: Vermeule Mansion (Project A); North Plainfield Public Library (Project B); and Vermeule Community Center (Projects C & D). As a means to prepare for and prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, Projects A, B, and C include interior improvements and HVAC system upgrades to toilet rooms and meeting spaces. Project D includes exterior work via the creation of an outdoor paved plaza featuring a partially covered porch, exterior seating, landscaping, and site drainage. The contract will allow one hundred fifty (150) calendar days for completion of the work from the Notice to Proceed. Payment for Contract Documents shall be by money order, or certified check only and shall be made payable to: CTS GROUP Architecture/Planning, PA. Contract documents cannot be purchased through the mail. CTS GROUP Architecture/Planning, PA will not be held responsible for contract documents purchased via courier service. Proposals shall be made on the forms provided and made part of the Contract Documents, which shall be submitted intact. The successful Bidder shall be required to comply with requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27, and deliver to the Borough an executed Performance Bond of a responsible indemnity company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. Proposals must be placed in sealed envelopes and delivered to the "MUNICIPAL CLERK," Borough of North Plainfield in the Municipal Building, 263 Somerset Street, North Plainfield, New Jersey 07060, clearly marked "Municipal COVID Prevention Projects" with the name and address of the Bidder marked clearly on the outside of the envelope. Bids received after the designated time and date will be returned unopened. The Borough of North Plainfield reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals or to waive any minor informalities or irregularities in the Proposal received and to accept the Proposal which is in the best interest of the Borough.
