The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informality in the bidding process in accordance with the law, if it is in the best interest of the Owner. The Contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder as defined in N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-2 whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements. No bid shall be deemed accepted until the adoption of a formal resolution by the Owner. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening date. Should you have any questions, please contact the Architect's office at 866-974-7666 Bidder must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of (1) a bid bond or certified or cashier's check payable to Perth Amboy Board of Education equal to 10% of the amount of the bid, but in no case to exceed $20,000.00 as per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24 and (2) Certificate of Consent of Surety as per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25. The successful bidder will be required to furnish additional bonds as specified in Document 00 21 10, "Instructions to Bidders.
