Site work and renovation of a civil project in South Hill, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The principal work to be performed under this contract consists of, but not limited to improvement of the following: Modify the Brunswick North Water Distribution System portion to change the way that the I-85 200,000 Gallon Elevated Tank & Regional Jail 250,000 Gallon Elevated Tank are filled and add a chlorine injection station at the I-85 elevated tank. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. The Engineer for this project is B&B Consultants, Inc. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:15 am -5:00 pm and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.t. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither the Town nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. local time on April 19, 2022, at B & B Consultants, Inc., address listed above. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions for Bidders. A performance bond and payment bond, each in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the Contract Price, with a corporate surety approved by the Owner, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Evidence of proper registration with the Virginia State Registration Board of Contractors, pursuant to Chapter 7 of Title 54 of the Code of Virginia, must be submitted with each bid.
