UNIT PRICE CONTRACT consisting of construction of approximately 14,820 linear feet of water main which including 13,610 linear feet of8-, 6-, and 3-inch PVC water main installed by open trench methods, 1,210 linear feet of 8-, and 6-inch PVC water main installed by horizontal directional drilling, 165 linear feet of 14-inch railroad boring for 8-inch water main, 250 linear feet of 14-inch and 8-inch steel casing installed by open trench methods, 10 fire hydrants, 8 gate valves, customer service connections, a tie-into the existing water distribution system and other appurtenances necessary to complete the work. OWNERwill provide the water main pipe and customer service tubing for this Contract, available at the location designated by the OWNER. Each Bidder must submit with his Bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction for Bidders. All work done under this contract shall be subject to State of Ohio Wage rates and rules. Each Proposal must contain the full name ofthe party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each Bidder must submit evidence ofits experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. All Contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation oftheir project. The Muskingum County Commissioners (Owner) reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in the bids received, and to accept any bid or combination ofbids which is deemed most favorable to the County at the time and under the conditions stipulated. The Commissioners further declare that they will award the contract for this project to the LOWEST AND BEST BID, which may not necessarily be the lowest bid. No single factor will control the Board's decision to award, and the Board reserves the right to exercise its full discretion.
