Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Thompson, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The Town of Thompson is seeking written proposals as required by CONNDOT's LOTCIP funding program guidelines for the Riverside Drive Replacement Project (Construction) Project. The 7400' long project includes replacement of concrete sidewalks, granite curbs, crosswalks, and some landscaping. Thereafter, bids will be opened in public and read aloud at the regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen on Tuesday, May 3 at 7 p.m. or at another meeting of the Board of Selectmen. The Town of Thompson hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority and disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and that they will notbe discriminated against on the grounds of race, color,national origin or sex in consideration for anaward. Any requests for additional information, interpretations or clarifications of these Contract Documents by potential bidders shall be made in writing to the Thompson Director of Planning & Development: planner@thompsonct.org or at 860-923-9475 x5130, no later than Thursday April 21 at 4:00 p.m.. If determined to be necessary or required, addenda will be issued on the Town bid notice page. All addenda shall be posted or sent no later than 5 days prior to the bid closing and opening. The Town of Thompson reserves the right to accept any bid or part of bids, to reject any, all or any part of the bids, to waive any formalities or informalities in the bidding process and to award the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. Note: Surety Company Bond for five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid must accompany each proposal; certified checks will not be accepted. The Town of Thompson reserves the right to reject any and all bids. State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services ("DAS") under the provisions of CONN. GEN. STAT. 4a-60g. (25% of the work with DAS certified Small and Minority owned businesses and 25% of that work with DAS certified Minority, Women and/or Disabled owned businesses.) The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% setaside goals. For municipal public works contracts and quasi-public agency projects, the contractor must file a written or electronic non-discrimination certification with the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities. MBE (13.7%), WBE (2.1%)
