The above designed work includes the furnishing of all labor, equipment, material, appurtenances and incidentals required for the construction of the road project and other incidental items necessary for a complete project all in accordance with specifications prepared by the Bethlehem Township Trustees. Each bid shall be in conformity with the Ohio Revised Code. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope, if mailed or hand delivered. All bids received shall be upon the forms furnished with the specifications, shall contain the full name of each person, agency/company, submitting the bid, and shall be signed by an official authorized to execute a contract. Bid envelope/subject line must be plainly marked: 2022 BETHLEHEM TOWNSHIP PAVING AND REPAIR PROJECT: Part 1: (1) Beth Ave SW (2) Lawndell Rd SW (3) Shetler Ave SW. Part 2: (1) Shetler Allotment and (2) Navarre Bethlehem Community Park Road. All contractors and sub-contractors involved with this project, will, to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of the Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty form of: (1) a certified check, or cashier's check, or letter of credit, equal to 10% of the bid; or (2) a bid guaranty bond for the full amount of the bid; both form of guaranty as provided in Chapter 153 of the Ohio Revised Code and in the Project Specifications. The amount of the bid for said guaranty purposes shall include all additive alternates. All bid guarantees shall be conditioned that if the bid is accepted within sixty (60) days of the bid opening, a proper Contract shall be executed, and that upon failure or refusal to enter into said Contract within ten (10) days after receipt of notification of award, the bidder and surety on any bond shall be liable to the township in an amount not to exceed ten percent (10%) of the bid. The Township is not responsible if mailed/emailed documents are received after the bid receipt deadline. No bidder may withdraw his Proposal for a period of sixty- (60) calendar days after date and time of receipt of bids, except as provided by State Law. The Bethlehem Township Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and/or waives informality in any bid and to accept any bid or combination of bids which deemed most favorable to the Township at the time and under the conditions stipulated.
