Project consists of replacement of existing driveway and adjacent sidewalks. Bid Security shall be submitted with each bid as security the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid and shall furnish after the award of contract corporate surety bond or bonds, acceptable to the owner, for the faithful performance of the contract in the amount equivalent to 100% of the amount of the contract. 1. Bid security shall be in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. Bids shall be considered by the Owner at a public hearing to be held: 1. Public Hearing Date: April 25, 2022. 2. Public Hearing Time: 5:30 PM, local time. 3. Location: Educational Leadership and Support Center Board Room, 2500 Edgewood Road NW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52405. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. 1. Work to Begin on: May 31, 2022, or first day after the last day of school whichever is later. 2. Work Substantially Complete on or before: August 5, 2022. 3. Final Project Completion on or before: September 30, 2022. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities or irregularities. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
