Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Bondurant, Iowa. Completed plans call for the construction of a 2,400-square-foot educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; warehouse / distribution facility; and warehouse / distribution facility.
The Bondurant-Farrar Junior High School Project consists of a New 2,400 sf Maintenance/Storage Building. Construction to include, site grading, site utilities, irrigation, concrete foundations, slabs and pavement, mise structural steel, CMU masonry, general carpentry, wood trusses, metal roof panels, doors and frames, metal studs, paint, sealed concrete, mechanical and electrical. All work and equipment is to be in accordance with the plans, specifications and contract documents on file with the Board of Education of the Bondurant-Farrar Community School District, which are by this reference made a part of this notice as though fully set out and incorporated herein. Separate lump-sum bids for Bid Issuance 3 will be received for: Bid Package No. 03-3 - Concrete - Foundations, Slab-on-Grade, Sidewalks, and Paving Bid Package No. 06-2 - General Carpentry, Masonry, Roofing, Sheet Metal, Studs and Painting Bid Package No. 22-2 - Plumbing & HVAC Bid Package No. 26-2 - Electrical, Communications, & Safety and Security Bid Package No. 31-2 - Earthwork, Site Utilities, and Irrigation Each bid shall be submitted on the Bid Form provided with the Bidding Documents. Bid shall be addressed to Chris Freese, School Board President and delivered to Bondurant Farrar District Office, 300 Garfield Street SW, Bondurant, IA 50035 in sealed envelopes marked with the Project Name, Name and Address of the Bidder, and Bid Package No. Any alteration of the Bid Form may be cause for rejection of the bid. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, cashiers check or certified credit union share draft in a separate envelope in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. The certified check or cashiers check or certified share draft shall be drawn on a bank or credit union in Iowa or a bank or credit union chartered under the laws of the United States of America, and payable to the Bondurant-Farrar Community School District as security that if awarded a contract by resolution of the Board, the Bidder will enter into a contract at the prices bid and furnish the required performance and payment bonds and certificate of insurance. Failure to follow these specific bidding instructions as outlined in this notice or the bid documents may be cause for rejection of the bid. The certified check, cashiers check, or certified share draft may be cashed, or the bid bond forfeited, and the proceeds retained as penalty if the Bidder fails to execute a contract or file acceptable performance and payment bonds or provide an acceptable certificate of insurance within ten (10) days after the acceptance of his or her proposal by resolution of the Board. Bids will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of fourty-45 (45) days after the date set for the opening bids. Bids will be received under separate contracts as outlined in the bid-package descriptions listed above. Bids will only be accepted for the above listed bid packages. Separate contracts will be awarded for each Bid Package, and no tied bids will be permitted. Payment of the cost of the project will be made in cash from such fund or funds of the Bondurant-Farrar Community School District as may be lawfully used for said purpose. By virtue of statutory authority, preference will be given to products and provisions grown and/or produced within the State of Iowa, and preference will be given to Iowa domestic labor as provided in the Code of Iowa The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive informalities or irregularities in the bidding.
