Pee Dee Regional Council of Governments, on behalf of the Town of Olanta, is soliciting bids for construction of a new park. Interpretation of Bid Documents. If any bidder is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the Bid Package, or finds discrepancies in, or omissions from any drawings and specifications, a written request for an interpretation or correction thereof may be submitted to kethridge(fopeedeecou.org no later than 5:00 pm on October 18, 2024. This project will include combining an empty lot located at 225 E. Main Street with an unsafe, dilapidated building located at 223 E. Main Street to create an outdoor park. The park will include fencing, outdoor seating, lighting, concrete games, shade sails, audio system, and landscaping. An ADA compliant crosswalk will be installed at the park, and related work as indicated: o Remove existing concrete and brick from property. Level lot. o Cedar fence down the side and back oflot with walk through on back oflot (approximately 100 feet x 50 feet) o 6 metal columns with brick base (see sample pictures); NOTE: brick could potentially be recycled from the existing brick walls on property o String lights and fans mounted on metal columns o Grass the lot with paver or stamped concrete walkway in center (approximately 75 ft long) between metal columns o 7 black metal tables and chairs with umbrellas (6 small tables, 1 family style large table) o 200 amp meter base and locking cover box o 6 Bluetooth speakers o Storage box for electrical and game accessories o Painted crosswalk to other side ofthe street approximately (50 feet across) o 2 trashcans o Landscaping - ornamental grass/pencil trees down sides and back ofproperty o Pressure wash sidewalk directly in front ofproperty
