The City of Medford, led by its Public Works Department, is accepting sealed bids for CATCH BASIN CLEANING AND DEBRIS REMOVAL project. This contract is a one (1) year contract, with two (2) optional one (1) year extensions, at the City's discretion. The estimated value of this Contract is $300,000 over a 3 year period. The Contract shall commence on approximately July 1, 2022, and end on June 30, 2025. Labor & Materials Payment Bond - fifty percent (50%) of Contract price Insurance Coverage is required at the time of award. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development under the provision of Massachusetts General Law (M.G.L.) c. 149, 26 to 27D, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the Bidder, before bid opening, to request, if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those tradespeople who may be employed for the proposed work under this Contract The City is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages MBE/WBE/DBE participation in response to the bid process. Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Rates apply to this Contract. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the General Bid Information and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in form of a bid bond, or certified check, and/or a treasurers or cashiers check issued by a responsible bank or trust company in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid.
