Bid No.: 19-22 BP#01- General Construction The Project is subject to the Community Workforce Agreement for Construction, Repair, Upgrade, Renovation, Modernization, Expansion, Rehabilitation and Improvement Work Projects dated June 27, 2017 entered into between the District and various labor unions (the CWA). The successful bidder and its subcontractors will be required by the District to be bound by the terms of the CWA section 00 73 49. Repurposing of existing Drafting, Arts, & Ceramics classrooms in building 'C'. Work to consist of selective demolition of non-bearing interior partitions, concrete, carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and related finishes and equipment to accommodate a new CTE Digital Media Studio. Program to include a collaborative podcast and edit stream studio spaces, a workroom, and related utility rooms. Location- 2802 S Flower St Santa Ana, CA 92707 The following contractors and subcontractors must be prequalified prior to bidding on this Project: All Prime Contractor Bidders, per Public Contract Code Section 20111.6; with the following license classifications: A, B, C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, and/or C-46. Mechanical, electrical, or plumbing Subcontractors performing work under the following license classifications: C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, and/or C-46. All bids shall be on the form provided by the District. Each bid must conform and be responsive to all pertinent Contract Documents, including, but not limited to, the Instructions to Bidders. The District shall award the Contract, if it awards it at all, to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based on: The Base Bid Amount Only All questions regarding the Contract Documents are to be directed in writing to Dennis Chavez, Construction Supervisor. All pre-bid request for information/clarification questions will be received until 4:00 PM on April 19, 2022. Questions or inquiries can be sent via e-mail to dennis.chavez@sausd.us & copy construction@sausd.us District must receive any request for product substitution a minimum of TEN (10) calendar days prior to the date of bid opening. As security for its bid, each bidder shall provide with its bid form A bid bond issued by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the District, Cash, or A cashiers check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the Santa Ana Unified School District, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price. This bid security shall be a guarantee that the Bidder shall, within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the Notice of Award, enter into a contract with the District for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100 % Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Project. The District's Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. If the District awards the Contract, the security of unsuccessful bidder(s) shall be returned within sixty (60) days from the time the award is made. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening, the security of unsuccessful bidder(s) shall be returned within sixty (60) days from the time the award is made.
