Renovation of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Springfield, Vermont. Working plans call for the renovation of a elderly care / assisted living facility.

**As of June 13, 2022, no bids received. No definite date for the rebid.** The Town of Springfield invites qualified firms to submit proposals for replacement of the existing concrete access ramp and steps at the Senior Center located at the Springfield Parks and Recreation Building at 139 Main Street. The work involves the replacement of the existing facilities with a new ADA compliant ramp. Contractor will be responsible for the design and installation of the ramp replacement subject to all applicable building codes and ADA requirements. There is an existing fire escape that connects to the existing ramp. The Contractor will be responsible for replacing the fire escape as it is required by code to remain. Proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes or packages with the following information clearly printed on the outside: 1. Name and address of proposing company 2. Due date and time 3. Project name: Senior Center Ramp Replacement Design/Build.RFP Questions: Questions are due April 22, 2022 4:30 PM The Town has obtained preliminary construction quotes but has not established a construction budget since the final scope of work is not determined. The Town requires an evaluation of materials of construction and an evaluation of a potential reconfiguration of the ramp before finalizing the construction scope of work. Therefore, a proposed fee for the project planning and design work only is requested for the proposal submission. A construction cost is not being requested as part of the proposal submission. All questions regarding this RFP are due no later than 4:30 PM on April 22, 2022. All proposals must be received no later than 10AM on May 3, 2022.Questions about the project should be directed to Chris Merrill at 139 Main Street or at telephone number (802) 885- 2727. The Town of Springfield reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received, to negotiate with any qualified source, or to cancel in part or in its entirety this RFP as in the best interest of Town of Springfield. This solicitation in no way obligates the Town of Springfield to award a contract.
