Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) is soliciting bids from Contractors with qualifications, experience, and knowledge to provide On-Call Testing, Repair, and Preventative Maintenance of Wayside Generators as specified in Section 2.0. Contractor license classification at time of Contract award must be C-10. It is the policy of the U.S. Department of Transportation that Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), as defined in 49 C.F.R. Part 26, are encouraged to participate in the performance of contracts financed in whole or in part with federal funds. As a condition of federal grant assistance, SacRT has adopted a DBE program for SacRTs federally-funded contracts. No DBE goal has been established for this Contract. However, if subcontracting opportunities exist for the work required for this Contract, Bidders/Proposers must ensure that DBEs have the opportunity to participate in the performance of this Contract and must take all necessary and reasonable steps to obtain DBE participation. Contractor must not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability or age in the award and performance of subcontracts. Attachment 6 Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program Contract Provisions sets out the requirements Contractor must meet if any certified DBE firms perform on this Contract. To allow SacRT to track race-neutral DBE participation for Contracts without a DBE goal, Bidders are expected to submit the DBE Commitments Form (DBE Form 1a) for all solicitations without an established goal and in which a DBE will be participating.
