Period of Performance: 07/01/2022 to 10/31/2022 Clear and level a 6 - 8 foot fencing Right-of-Way (ROW) of all large rocks, stumps and brush. Installation of a 9 foot high with a 1 foot overlap on the ground animal damage control fence around a mapped area to limit deer browse. SCHEDULE NOTES a. There is a requirement for bonding and/or payment protections (Irrevocable Letter of Credit (ILC) or payment bond) if quote is over $35,000. The bonds or ILC will be for 100% of the award price and submitted within 10 days after contract award. See Section I for additional information. b. SCOPE OF CONTRACT The Contractor shall furnish all personnel, materials, equipment, tools, supplies, transportation, supervision and incidentals to construct a nine foot high deer fence including a 1 foot overlap of the ground, see Figure 1, around an estimated 10.2 acre area. Contractor will also clear a 6 - 8 foot fence right of way (ROW). Fence will be constructed within an active timber sale area contractor will be responsible for repairing any road damage caused by their operations. C.2 PROJECT LOCATON The fence location is on the Ottawa National Forest Bergland Ranger District, see Vicinity and Fence Area maps. From Bergland, Michigan go east on M 28 approximately 2 miles. Turn north on FR400 approximately 4 miles to FR 449. Turn north on FR 449 approximately 0.6 miles to the intersection of FR 449 and FR 449-D. Proceed approximately 500 feet to corner D of the site. Fencing area will run north of FR 449. The fencing corners are marked with pink flagging. Fencing activity will need to be coordinated with the timber sale activity. Access for site inspection will be walk/ATV from gate of FR 449 unless arrangements are made with FS personnel.
