The (Rebid of Bid Doc. No. 22-406) Collection Systems Operations Facility Structural Steel Package, Capital Project No. 2217, consists of production of a red-iron structural steel package for a new operations facility including the fabrication of structural steel, storage at the fabricator's facility until ready for erection, and delivery to the project site as indicated in the Project Manual and on the Contract Drawings. Construction of the operations facility will be bid at a later date; the selected steel fabricator will be assigned to the General Contractor at that time. Structural steel shall be available for procurement no later than October 31, 2022. Liquidated damages shall be $300.00 per calendar day beyond that date. All construction shall be done in accordance with specifications on file with FRSA, including FRSA's General Provisions and Technical Specifications for Sanitary Sewer Construction (Current Edition). Each Proposal must be accompanied by the FRSA Bid Bond form with an acceptable Bid Security (such as a bid bond, cash bond, irrevocable letter of credit, surety bond, or letter of commitment issued by a bank, savings and loan association, surety, or insurance company), in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price. This amount is a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory surety such as Performance Bond, cash bond, irrevocable letter of credit, surety bond, or letter of commitment issued by a bank, savings and loan association, surety, or insurance company. No Bid shall be withdrawn without FRSA's consent for a period of thirty (30) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. FRSA reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or any part thereof, or to accept any bid or any part thereof, or to waive any formalities in any bids, deemed to be in the best interest of FRSA.
