The Maryland Department of Juvenile Services, an Executive Department of the State of Maryland, hereinafter called "the Department," "Juvenile Services," or "DJS," is soliciting Invitation for Bids (IFB) for a contractor to complete the rehabilitation of the asphalt pavement by crack sealing, sealcoating and installing pavement markings to the facility parking lots, roadways, basketball court and sally port entrance loading dock pavement areas. VSBE Participation Goal 0% This project consists of the Contractor providing all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, insurance, licenses and permits, etc. necessary to complete the rehabilitation of the asphalt pavement by crack sealing, sealcoating and installing pavement markings to the facility parking lots, roadways, basketball court and sally port entrance loading dock pavement areas. Work associated with the asphalt pavement rehabilitation and pavement of the roadways, parking lot area , sally port, loading dock entrance areas, and basketball court, and pavement line marking of parking area ,and marking of lines on basketball court includes but is not limited to the following: 1. The Contractor shall seal and fill in approximately 1,900 linear ft./up to 62,000sq ft. Of transverse and lateral asphalt pavement cracking, using a hot applied crack and joint sealant of the highest quality that meets ASTM specifications and standards. ASTM Specification #3405 is preferred. 2. The Contractor shall clean debris, remove roots and grass from approximately 1/4 " to 1" width cracks from the parking lot, roadways, sally port entrance, loading dock and basketball court pavement areas 3. The Contractor shall repair any curb or walkway damages surrounding the facility roadways and parking lot areas that may occur during asphalt rehabilitation, seal coating and line painting process. 4. The Contractor shall install sealcoat approximately 3,000 square yards of bituminous pavement using a minimum of (2) coats of a high quality and protective asphalt emulsion sealant. For the Basketball Court - Contractor shall sealcoat approximately 666 square yard by applying 2 coats of a non-skid, durable, waterborne acrylic sport surface coating. All pavement shall be cleaned, primed and treated before any sealcoating work is performed
