PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project generally consists of, but is not limited to: cold milling existing asphalt surfaces, prepare existing asphalt surfaces for resurfacing, asphalt resurfacing of existing asphalt surfaces, replace concrete curb & gutter, repair deteriorated pavement in bus parking lot, grade and re-establish turf in an area adjacent to asphalt pavement at bus parking lot to provide positive drainage away from pavement edge and pavement markings. Construction must be complete, with all parking areas and driving lanes usable by 31 July 2022. A certified check, made payable to Hardin County Schools, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for Satisfactory Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bonds. The Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bonds shall be executed by Surety Company possessing an A.M. Best Company rating of A - or better and which holds a certificate of Authority issued by the Department of Treasury and shall be listed as an acceptable surety in the Circular; published annually as of July 1 and licensed in the State of Kentucky The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids received after scheduled closing time for receipt of bids will be returned unopened to bidders. Any bid which is not submitted in the proper form will not be considered. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five days subsequent to opening of bids.
