Sarpy County is seeking proposals for office furniture. Installation and delivery services of the furniture identified in this RFP will not begin until the new Correctional Center is operational. Vendor must bid on the full furniture package and provide all installation. Sarpy County's current jail is located on the County's main campus at 84th Street and Highway 370. The current jail opened in 1989 and was designed to hold 148 inmates. Construction on the 150,000-square-foot Sarpy County Correctional Center began in April 2021 on the Sarpy County campus at 84th Street and Highway 370. The new facility is designed to house 362 inmates and will have a dedicated behavioral health unit, secure courtroom and video arraignment areas, and space for educational and rehabilitative programming. The design includes areas for future expansion. The new facility is expected to cost $79.9 million dollars, with construction completed in late 2022. Every request for such interpretation or correction should be in writing through the online bid system or by email to Beth Garber, bgarber@sarpy.gov. Sarpy County prefers all questions be submitted through the electronic bidding program. These specifications are minimum acceptable specifications. You may bid other than what is specified if it is of higher specification than what is requested. Exceptions must be pre-approved by Sarpy County Purchasing during the bid period. All requests for exceptions must use the standard form attached to the bid and submitted to bgarber@sarpy.gov by 10:00 a.m., April 14, 2022.
