Demolition, site work and addition to a civil project in Jasper, Georgia. Completed plans call for the addition of a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of June 21, 2022, a general contractor has been given a tentative award. The project will not be officially awarded until funding has been approved. A timeline for funding approval has not been established. The Project consists of construction of: Modifications to existing grit structure, one aeration basin, modifications to existing aeration basin (Addition A-1), two final clarifiers, modifications to existing filters, new chlorine contact chamber, modifications to chemical feed system, sludge holding tank, modifications to existing pump stations, an effluent pump station, and modifications to existing control building, all complete with appurtenances Time allotted for construction is 480 consecutive calendar days for substantial completion and 540 days for final completion Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. Proposals for the complete work shall be made on the proposal form provided and shall contain prices in words and figures for the work bid on. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
