Each bidder must file with his bid the usual statutory non-collusion affidavit. All bidders must accompany their bid with a bid bond or certified check made payable to the City, of Columbus, Indiana. Such bid bonds and/or certified checks must be in an amount equal to ten percentum (10%) of the bid as guaranty that he will carry out the terms of his bid. The Board of Works and Safety reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in any bid or bid procedure, and to accept any bid that meets or exceeds the specifications that is the lowest responsible and responsive bid which shall be determined in the sole discretion of the Board of Works and Safety. For special accommodations needed by physically challenged individuals planning to attend the bid opening, please call 376-2570 or TDD 375-2720 at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the meeting.
