The City of Bentonville, Arkansas is accepting formal, sealed bids from properly qualified, capable, licensed, insured, and properly experienced contractors to prepare the site for application and apply paint and antigraffiti, as specified in the IFB-22-47 Bidding Documents, in the pedestrian tunnel located at the Bella Vista Bypass under I-49 along the Razorback Greenway, for the City of Bentonville Parks and Recreation Department. Questions must be submitted via written communication only to purchasing@bentonvillear.com. The deadline to submit questions related to this Invitation is April 20, 2022, at 4:30pm. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of 5% (five percent) of the Total Bid Price, payable without condition to the City of Bentonville, as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds after the Notice of Award has been issued. The awarded Bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds at the time of signing the Contract in amounts equal to the Total Bid Price. No Pre-bid Meeting Scheduled for This Solicitation The City also reserves the right to reject any Bid received and to waive irregularities in accordance with the City's best interest. The work shall include all specifications listed below. The awarded contractor shall complete the work to 100% completion. The Project is located within Bentonville City limits. ? Tunnel shall be pressure washed and cleaned of all debris. ? Lighting shall be covered and protected during the project, any damage or paint is the responsibility of the vendor. ? Tunnel walls and ceiling (approximately 12,000 square feet) painted with one (1) coat (1.6 – 2.2 millimeters dry), concrete white/primer Aqua Lock Plus AQ-0400 or equivalent. ? Tunnel walls and ceiling (approximately 12,000 square feet) painted with one (1) coat of anti-graffiti Aliphatic Acrylic Urethane Gloss clear V500-00 or equivalent. ? Any paint that is damaged before it dries will be the contractor’s responsibility. ? Tunnels must be vented before opening to the public each day. No fumes shall be present. ? Safety and caution signs shall be installed in all directions to notify pedestrians and bicyclist of tunnel closings during contractor working hours. ? Contractor shall obtain any and all applicable permits. ? Any damage to landscaping or the tunnel will be the contractor’s responsibility to repair to the satisfaction of the City. ? The site shall remain clean and free from any/all debris. ? Contractor shall provide one (1) year warranty on labor and materials. ?
