Forest Engineering On-Call Contract We are looking for multiple consultants in partnership with Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW), to complete forest road designs including water crossings, fish passage, road construction on steep slopes, and road abandonment, in accordance with Forest Practice standards. Work will be primarily located in Central Washington with most projects in the L.T. Murray, Colockum, and Oak Creek Wildlife Areas. Highly qualified candidates will have experience within the last 5 years performing engineering work in remote locations. A background in civil, structural, geotechnical, hydrogeological, hydraulic, environmental, or forest engineering is required, as well as experience specifically with low volume roads. It is expected that the successful company can perform necessary field assessment, survey, construction layout, and design of temporary roads, fish passage crossings, culverts, bridges, and develop professional level drawings and calculations acceptable to Washington Department of Natural Resources in conjunction with a Forest Practice Application. The Statements of Qualifications shall be no longer than 7 pages of content (not including cover and title pages) and include lead staff resumes, responsiveness and ability to meet timelines, similar projects completed and general project approach. A qualifications-based selection process will be used and will consider the following information: Overall experience Qualifications of key team members, including any subconsultants Ability to respond to project work After receiving SOQs, WDFW will evaluate the responding firms' qualifications to form a short list of firms for virtual interviews in late April.
