Located at 24940 Delmar Rd, Mardela Springs, MD 21837, this project consists of the phased renovations (approx. 83,000 SF) and additions (approx. 63,000 SF) to an occupied, 6-12 Grade Combined Middle/High School on a 40-acre site. There are four (4) major phases with interim milestones. Work will proceed in June 2022. Building Substantial Completion December 2024. Final sitework completion may extend to August 2025. Whiting-Turner will be performing this project as the Construction Manager At-Risk. A Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of bid is required with any bid submission over $100,000. Performance and Payment bonds will be required by all successful vendors with bids over $100,000. All successful contractors will be required to execute a WT Subcontract (no changes) and submit a certificate of insurance meeting Whiting-Turner's insurance requirements. An excess liability policy of $2,000,000 will be mandatory for all trades. All contractors are subject to Davis Bacon prevailing wage rates for Wicomico County, MD Building Construction (MD20220038) and associated reporting requirements. This project is NOT tax exempt. A Maryland Business License is required for all Subcontractors Whiting-Turner will notify bidders of additional bidding requirements via Building Connected.
