As of June 20, 2022, the project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The contractor will be responsible for installing the concrete flasher foundation. The contractor will mount the flasher control boxes, displays, poles and provide the TYPE-2 pull box, power disconnect, conduit, and power cables connecting to the nearest power pole. The contractor's unit bid will include all materials needed to complete each installation. The contractor will remove and dispose of the old flasher equipment, poles, and materials. Before disposal, a city technician will remove the old-time clock from the old control boxes. Associated work may include clearing & demolition, grading, erosion control, utility adjustments, and other miscellaneous work. The assembled school flasher installations and concrete foundations will meet or exceed the latest manufacturers, GDOT, and City of Albany specifications. This project will be bid on a unit price basis for all specified work and will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
