Site work for a water / sewer project in Cairo, Georgia. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of June 20, 2022. The City rejected all bids and is planning on re-bidding this project. The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct the proposed 10 th Avenue, 17 th Avenue & 21 st Avenue Watermain Improvements as shown on the construction drawings. In general, construction consists of approximately 3,290 linear feet of 12-inch and 9,490 linear feet of 6-inch water main, including valves, fire hydrants, fittings, jack and boring of steel casings under GDOT highways, horizontal and directional borings, clearing and grubbing, traffic control, erosion control, and all associated measures for the water system improvements project. This work will be awarded in one (1) contract with a 180 consecutive calendar day construction schedule. All bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder, if awarded the Contract, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. All bonds must appear on the Treasury Department's most current Circular 570 Listing. The Owner, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to re-advertise.
