Site work and paving for a civil project in Pepperell, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Replacement of an existing 36-inch-diameter CMP culvert with a 16-foot-wide, 8-foot-high, 34-foot-long open-bottom precast concrete box culvert at the crossing of Heald Street over Sucker Brook in Pepperell, MA. Work includes, but is not limited to, water control, excavation and removals, installation of precast structures (already procured by the Town), cast-in-place concrete wingwalls, channel construction, utility bypasses and replacements (water, sewer, and gas), and roadway work. Portions of the work will be completed by the Town as indicated in the bid documents. The precast concrete culvert, culvert footings, and approach slabs have been procured separately by the Town and will be fabricated by 6/30/22. Substantial completion (roadway reconstruction) is desired by 11/30/22. The selected contractor is strongly encouraged to spend as much as possible of approximately $100,000 in FY22 grant funding for the purchase/ordering of approved materials and/or site mobilization by 6/30/22. Prevailing wage rates will apply to this project. Bidders must be prequalified by MassDOT in the Bridge-Culverts category.
