Saving Project...

Renovation of a mixed-use development in Bedford, New Hampshire. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a 30,000-square-foot fire / police facility; and municipal facility.

As of February 29, 2024, a construction manager has been selected for the project. A ballot vote for funding is expected to take place in March of 2024. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Town of Bedford, NH is pursuing a town facilities initiative to include a combined police and fire station (est. PD 20,000 sf./FD 10,000 sf.), renovation of the current safety complex, and renovation of the Town Office Building. The Town seeks proposals from qualified construction management firms to provide construction services that may include design/build, architectural/ engineering design, construction management service, general contracting, pre-bond services, pre- construction services, and/or construction cost estimating. The initial phase of the project is pre-bond to begin immediately with a goal of approval by the Bedford voters regarding a bond article in March 2023. The intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to obtain the most advantageous relationship available. The ideal vendor will provide highly qualified and responsive consultation and representation at competitive prices. Price is only one factor in this selection process. Questions and Conference Scheduling may be referred to: Scott Hunter, Fire Chief 603-792-1369 shunter@bedfordnh.org The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive minor informalities, and to make the award, if any, as may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Bedford. To be considered for selection, firms must be responsive to the requested information set forth in the Request for Proposals. Proposing firms will be evaluated and rated based on the qualifications and experience presented in their proposal, their approach to the project and associated costs and approach of payment expectations. The Town may choose to interview selected proposing firms as a factor in determining an overall rating and selection. The Town may also choose to accept multiple firms and/or split services as it deems necessary The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time
