Renovation of a medical facility in San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,650-square-foot medical facility.

Description of Work: The Work shall include all services, labor, material, tools, equipment, testing, inspection, commissioning, and all necessary General Conditions Work, that is required by or may be reasonably inferred from the Contract Documents to provide Pre-Construction Services and Construction Work for the following: The Nuclear Medicine Hot Lab is expanding its services inside of its existing footprint on the 3rd floor southeast portion of the Long Hospital at the of the UCSF Parnassus Medical Center. The existing space is bifurcated by a structural shear wall. The total proposed area of renovation is approximately 1,650 square feet(sf). In Phase One, the new USP 825 Hot Lab and ante room will be constructed on the west perimeter of the department within current office space. North of the shear wall, two offices will be converted into a new larger Dosing Admin Room that will accommodate the Thyroid Machine and Patient Consultation functions. The corridor doors accessing the Nuclear Medicine Department will shift to the west to allow for new Dosing Admin Room to be accessed from within the secure department. In Phase Two, the existing Dispensing Room, Prep Room, hallway link, Staff Workroom, Closet and Toilet will be reconfigured creating a new Dosing Room, two new Work Rooms, Patient Holding, Staff Room, Corridor, and Alcove. The Treadmill Room will be refurbished, replacing the casework and sink as well as an update of room lighting and finishes. The Hot Lab will remain in operation throughout all phases of construction. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wage rates at the location of the work. The work described in the contract is a public work subject to sections 1771 of the California Labor Code. Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the Anticipated Contract Amount shall accompany each Bid. The surety issuing the Bid Bond shall be, on the Bid Deadline, an admitted surety insurer (as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120). The successful Bidder shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $15 per hour) and shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local working condition requirements ANTICIPATED CONTRACT VALUE: $4,500,000.00 MAXIMUM ANTICIPATED CONTRACT VALUE: $5,000,000.00
