The City of Waukee Community Development Department requests quotes from property maintenance vendors to assist in bringing non-compliant private property into compliance with City codes, including but not limited to large and small lot mowing with regular and/or brush mowers, and minor tree and shrub trimming. Please provide information as follows: 1) In what type(s) of work do you have experience (Lawns, lots, commercial, retention areas-pond banks and shoreline, ditches, etc.) 2) What is your charge per hour a. Brush mower prices b. Developed city lot(lawns) c. Undeveloped city lots 3) What is your minimum charge (Example-Small lots may only take 15 minutes- do you charge a minimum of 2 hours) 4) Is there a charge if you show up to an address but the work has already been completed (call out) If so, what is that charge 5) Any other charges Questions can be directed to Paul Carpenter at pcarpenter@waukee.org or by calling (515) 978-7896. When contacted by the City, property maintenance vendors shall make every attempt to bring a subject property into compliance within 24 hours. The City expects that all trash, debris and other items are picked up and the area inspected before mowing. The City of Waukee is not responsible for damage to vendor equipment. All contractors must be insured and provide the City with proof of insurance. Following receipt of quotes, the City shall maintain a list of vendors that shall be listed in order by job function and price. When a vendor is needed to bring a property into compliance, a City of Waukee representative will start at the top of the list and make calls (texts-emails) for availability, moving down the list as needed until a vendor confirms availability for the work.
