The purpose of this RFP is to invite experienced and suitably qualified firms to submit proposals for the provision of Airport Custodial Services. This service contract incorporates all aspects of Custodial (includes all janitorial duties) services duties required for the Abbotsford Airport Terminal Complex (100,000 square feet) and supporting parking lots and sidewalks. Custodial service generally includes, janitorial, cleaning, responding to customer service questions or direct the passengers to the appropriate personnel, observe and report all security, safety, maintenance and operational items to YXX Airport Operations unit ("Airport Operations"). Proponents must demonstrate experience successfully working in a fast-paced, highly regulated, operational facility that is open to public while custodial services are being provided for the entire complex. The customer services component requires a suitably qualified and experienced service provider to provide customer-focused, reliable, high quality service to the public at all times. After hours, when the building is primarily closed, the service provider will monitor building and parking lot operations and report promptly all matters to Airport Operations and call 911 for all emergency matters. The janitorial component requires services to be delivered throughout the Air Terminal complex, both indoors, outdoors and in the parking area of the facility, including curbside and parking lot. The Service Provider must demonstrate multi-facet, highly complex and public facing experience (see Schedule A). Knowledge of applicable federal regulations for airports or equivalent and their operations (including Transport Canada and Canadian Air Transport Security Authority, also known as "CATSA" regulations) is highly desirable. The period of service (term) for this contract is for a three and half (3.5) year period commencing on July 1, 2022 and terminating on December 31, 2025, with two one-year options to extend by mutual agreement.
