The Town of Pownal is accepting bids for processing or the custom crushing of approximately 5,000 cubic yards of gravel. The finish product not to exceed 1" in size and will be left on site in a stockpile on town property. Also 1000 yards of 1 1/2" crushed stone. The contractor shall supply all equipment, fuel, labor and a device to measure quantity, in order to process 6,000 cubic yards of material and stockpile it on site. The finished pile will be surveyed at completion, at no cost to the crushing contractor. Contractor shall crush, stone, cobbles and earth material and mix to provide the town with a usable product for topdressing gravel roadways. The Town of Pownal will not be responsible for wear parts, maintenance, or any other damage that may occur to your equipment. The contractor is responsible for providing all its employees with the necessary personal safety and health equipment that is required by MSHA and VOSHA. The contractor shall include with bid, a valid certificate of Insurance, including workmen compensation coverage and MSHA mine number. All material must be crushed no later than May 15, 2022 and may start as soon as bid is awarded. Mobilization and demobilization must be included in price per yard.
