The project consists of the following items and approximate quantities: 425 S.Y. of patches, full depth repair; 1,200 L.F. of 30" curb and gutter unit; 29,000 S.Y. of pavement scarification; 3,300 ton of HMA, Standard Traffic, Intermediate; 3,300 ton of HMA, Standard Traffic, Surface; 1,400 S.Y. of sidewalk, PCC, 4"; 930 S.F. of detectable warning panels; and miscellaneous appurtenant work usually associated with a street improvement project. The work under the proposed Contract shall commence upon issuance of the written Notice to Proceed. The proposed street improvements listed shall be fully completed on or before December 15, 2022. The Bidder agrees to pay as liquidated damages the sum of $500 for each consecutive calendar day after the specified completion date that the project is not fully completed. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Code of Iowa. Bid security shall be 10% of the bid amount.
