Pierce County Facilities Management Department (County) is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from experienced professional architecture firms for pre-design alternatives analysis and design services for a new Mountain Detachment for the Pierce County Sheriff's Department. The Mountain Detachment primarily serves the areas of Southeast Pierce County. The new Mountain Detachment will need to be located within its service territory boundary. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Solicitation Documents must be submitted in writing electronically. The County will not conduct a pre-proposal conference for this procurement. The proposed Pierce County Sheriff's Department Mountain Detachment will consist of approximately 25-30 commissioned deputies and civil support persons. Interior spaces would include offices, a personal holding facility, property storage, interview rooms, locker room and breakroom. The proposed building would include both secure and publicly accessible lobby space. Security enhancements are an important aspect of both the interior and exterior of a new Mountain Detachment. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
