The proposed work is to include, but not be limited to, demolition of approximately 790-feet of railroad track, approximately 2,330 square yards of 3-inch thick asphalt pavement and road base; demolition of 3 methanol unloading stations and 7 liquid alum unloading stations, removal of approximately 320 feet of underground electrical ductwork, 420 feet of underground liquid alum piping, 520 feet of underground compressed air piping and 450 feet of underground methanol piping; installation of approximately 790-feet of railroad track, approximately 2,330 square yards of 3-inch thick asphalt pavement and road base, installation of 3 new methanol unloading stations, installation of approximately 225-feet of 4-inch diameter steel methanol piping, supports, electrical grounding systems with all associated work required for a complete project in accordance with the Contract Documents. Each Proposal must be submitted on the Proposal form included in the Specifications and must be accompanied by a certified check or cashier's check on a solvent bank or trust company in compliance with Section 255.051, Florida Statutes, made payable to the City of Tampa, in an amount of not less than five per cent of the total bid, or a Bid Bond, of like amount, on the form set forth in the Contract Documents, as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Proposed Contract and furnish a Public Construction Bond within twenty (20) days after receipt of Notice of Award of Contract. The City of Tampa reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any informalities in the Bid and/or Bid Bond. Acceptance or rejection of Proposals will be made as soon as practicable after the Proposals are received, but the City reserves the right to hold Proposals for ninety (90) days from the date of Opening.
