SCOPE OF WORK: The Ferguson-Florissant School District is requesting air monitoring and final clearance testing to be completed at each of the below sites. The classrooms currently have carpet installed over existing asbestos tile. The contactor will be removing the carpet, tile and mastic to prepare for the installation of new VCT tile. Below are the specific sites with classroom locations and contractor who will be conducting the asbestos removal. The air monitoring company will be required to work in conjunction with the asbestos removal contractor to ensure all local, county and state laws are followed. If the proposal exceeds $10,000, the contractor shall submit with the proposal a cashier's check, certified check or acceptable bidder's bond payable to the school district in an amount not less than 5% of the amount of the bid submitted, as a guarantee that if awarded the contract the bidder shall promptly enter into a contract and execute such bonds as required. The owner shall require the successful bidder to furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond prior to the execution of the contract. The bonds shall be written in the amount of 100% of the total contract price. The school District reserves the right to increase or decrease by ten percent (10%) the quantity of any item in the specifications on which proposals are accepted. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or any part thereof.
