Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Brimfield, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
2022 Brimfield Athletic Fields Bids shall include labor, materials, tools, equipment, and services for completion of the entire Project under a single fixed-price General Contract, between the Owner and the General Contractor. Every bid shall consist of two (2) fully completed copies of the Bid Form Documents and shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee consisting of bid bond, certified check or cashier's check made payable to "BRIMFIELD CUSD #309", in amount of five percent of total bid amount. Failure of bidder to submit an acceptable bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in amount to cover proposals bid upon is cause for rejection of his bid. Bids which are mailed or delivered prior to the bid opening should be placed in a sealed envelope and clearly labeled "2022 BRIMFIELD ATHLETIC FIELDS" Successful bidder will be required to provide Surety Performance Bond and separate Labor and Material Payment bond, each in amount equal to 100% of contract price, within 10 days after prescribed forms are presented for signature. Surety on bonds shall be a duly authorized company acceptable to Owner. No bid shall be withdrawn for 30 days after opening of bids without consent of Owner. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to accept or reject any or all bids when in the opinion of the Owner, such action will service the best interest of the Owner. The scope of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and generally consists of the development of a baseball field including backstop and foul line fence, dugout, and preparation of infield as part of the base bid. Alternate bids include grading and seeding the baseball field play surface, outfield fence, concrete sidewalk to field, bleachers, and grading and seeding an additional practice field. The Architect and the Owner will not respond to questions orally regarding the Project outside of the Pre-Bid Meeting. All requests for clarifications or interpretations outside of the Pre-Bid Meeting shall be made in writing and will be answered by Addendum when appropriate. It is anticipated the Brimfield CUSD 309 Board of Education will award the Project after subsequent board meetings following the bid opening. The Architect will issue a Notice to Proceed with the Project.
