Purpose:
Mattawan Consolidated School is soliciting bids for the demolition and removal
of the old steam boiler in the High School HVAC System.
Scope:
o Removal and disposal of the obsolete steam boiler, heat exchangers,
piping & electrical specific to the inoperable steam boiler currently in
place.
o Termination of all hydronic, electrical and controls interfaces to support
ongoing operations of the remainder of the HVAC systems.
o The work may be performed at any time suitable to the bidder provided
school operations are not interrupted or impeded.
o Bids must meet applicable federal, state and local funding guidelines
including the use of prevailing wages, if applicable. Timeline:
o The project installations shall be completed by January 15
th
, 2023, though
arrangements for some tasks, components and installations after this
date may be made if coordinated in advance with the district at the time
of the bid. Please direct all questions and inquiries
to mholahan@mattawanschools.org A designee of the Board of Education shall publicly open & read aloud the
bids received by the deadline at 56720 Murray Street, Mattawan, Michigan 49071, on Friday, April 29
th
, 2022 at 12:01pm in the Central
Administration Building. Bidders are welcome, though not required, to
attend bid-opening.
4. Each bid submitted shall include these three (3) documents:
a. A sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial
relationship that exists between the owner or any employee of
the bidder and any member of the board or the superintendent of
the school district.
b. An affidavit certifying that the vendor is not barred from public
contracting due to bid rigging or bid rotating convictions.
c. An affidavit certifying that it is not an "Iran-Linked Business" as
defined in Act 517, Public Acts of Michigan, 2001, MCL 129.311, et
seq.
5. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or
in part, to award a contract to other than the low bidder, to waive any
irregularities and/or informalities, and, in general, to make awards in any
manner deemed to be in the best interest of Mattawan Consolidated
School.
